PRESENTATION:

Leaders of Alaska’s 38 member Bering Sea Interior Tribal Commission will provide an update on the America the Beautiful grant that is providing support for Tribal Commission to explore development of a landscape scale Tribal Conservation District that seeks to co-manage federal land nominated by Tribes for protection during a BLM resource management plan. The land is currently unprotected and the Tribal Commission envisions co-management of the land with employment of local Indigenous Guardians.
