Introduction to Single Audits and the Alternative Compliance Examination for Alaska Tribal Governments

This session includes valuable information that will help Alaska Tribes new to the single audit identify and understand Single Audits and the Alternative Compliance Examination Engagement Report (ACEE) that is available for recipients of the American Rescue Plan Act’s State and Local Fiscal Recovery Funds (SLFRF). The Single Audit is required when a Tribe or other non-federal entity expends $750,000 or more in federal funds in a fiscal year. It is intended to provide assurance that adequate internal controls are in place and generally in compliance with program requirements. Speakers from Indian Affairs and Treasury will provide an overview of the single audit, the ACEE, and how to submit the single audit reports.
